At Talbot’s Adventures, we prioritize the safety and well-being of both our guests and wildlife. To ensure a respectful and enjoyable encounter for everyone involved, we strictly adhere to the following etiquette:

  • Just Float: When near marine animals, the best approach is to simply float. By respecting their space, they may come closer if they wish to interact.

  • Avoid Excessive Splashing: Refrain from splashing with your arms or legs excessively, as this could startle or disturb the marine creatures.

  • No Touching: Under no circumstances should you attempt to touch the marine animals. Respect their natural environment and maintain a hands-off approach.

  • Avoid Diving Towards Resting Animals: Be mindful of not diving down towards marine animals that are resting or seeking tranquility.

  • No Feeding: Feeding marine life is both dangerous and illegal (Fisheries Protection Ordinance Reg 9(1)(g)). Please refrain from this activity to protect their well-being.

  • No Interaction or Games: While it may be tempting to interact or play with marine animals, it’s crucial to let them behave naturally without any interference.

  • Respect Specific Situations: Steer clear of pregnant female marine mammals, animals engaged in courtship or territorial behavior, and those in predator/prey relationships.

  • Keep Our Oceans Clean: Littering is strictly prohibited. If you accidentally drop any personal items like hair ties, snorkels, or fins, retrieve them from the bottom of the ocean. Protecting their habitat is essential for safeguarding marine life.

  • Speak Up for the Sea: If you witness any behavior that could harm marine animals or goes against these guidelines, please step forward and educate the individuals involved. Kindly explain to them the importance of respecting marine life and encourage them to change their behavior.

By following these rules, we ensure that everyone enjoys a safe, responsible, and awe-inspiring Turtle & Birding safari adventure. At Talbot’s Adventures, we are committed to preserving the beauty of our oceans and fostering a deep appreciation for the incredible marine life that calls it home.
