The newly formed Turks & Caicos Fly Fishing Association (TCFFA) proudly announces Captain Levardo Talbot as its inaugural president. Coming from three generations of maritime expertise, Capt. Talbot brings both historical perspective and forward-thinking leadership to this important role.
“Our pristine flats are more than just fishing grounds – they’re pathways to sustainable livelihoods that align perfectly with our ‘Beautiful by Nature’ islands,” says Capt. Talbot. “Through this association, we aim to create opportunities that honor both our environment and our people, ensuring that future generations can make a living in harmony with nature.”
The TCFFA brings together the archipelago’s leading bonefishing operators with a clear mission: to develop a sustainable and conscious catch-and-release bonefishing space in the Turks & Caicos Islands. This initiative reflects a commitment to preserving both the environmental and economic value of our world-class flats fishing industry.
As president, Capt. Talbot, whose own journey began learning traditional fishing methods at Salt Cay, will help guide the association’s efforts to protect these precious marine resources while promoting responsible sport fishing practices.
